United Methodist Church name dragged thru the mud!!!

Your United Methodist Church has long claimed neutrality on political issues of the day but
are they neutral?
Bishop Gregory Palmer, President of the Council of Bishops in a recent letter to the
Council of Bishops admits and attempts to defend political support for
Obamacare. The General Conference denies his authority in this matter to speak
for them but has yet to reprimand his actions.
Bishop Palmer claims that UMC general Conference resolution 3201 authorizes support
for a complete takeover of our healthcare system by the government, (socialized
medicine).
He further maintains that he and many other United Methodists have been working for years
to further a single payer system, (Government takeover).
A letter sent to the White House by Bishop Palmer emboldened corrupt politicians such as
Nancy Pelosi and Baron Hill to proclaim freely that the UMC supported
Obamacare.
Dan Gangler, Director of communications for the Indiana Conference of the UMC stated that Nancy Pelosi was “misleading our United Methodist members” and that the UMC did not endorse the bill, yet to date no retractions have been requested of Mrs. Pelosi or Baron Hill.
Bishop Palmer as all Americans has a right to free speech and is entitled to his own
opinion. I support the fact that he is taking a stand even if it is poorly
discerned. If we all were to look more closely we would see that the UMC has
many politically oriented groups within the framework of the Church on many
different issues including topics like abortion or gay rights. There are groups
supporting either side of these issues.
So why does the Church claim neutrality and silence or political correctness instead of
encouraging free speech and open debate?
Marx, Stalin and Hitler were all socialists. Only one group was able to defeat them. The
Church!
Stand up! Proclaim the Truth Boldly! Fear nothing! Democrats, Independents and Republicans
are uniting as Christian Americans reclaiming America for Jesus Christ.
Support your Christian brothers and sisters in defending America from falling to a socialist
society where government dictates morality not God and where faith is in the
government not God. Find your local Tea Party and unite under one God with one
constitution that applies equally to all.
